Professional development & skill building training workshops for eco-guides of Sundarbans.
English, as a global language, empowers Sundarban’s eco-guides to communicate effectively with tourists and share their knowledge of wildlife and climate issues. To strengthen this, SHER, in collaboration with the U.S. Consulate Kolkata organized a first of its kind six-day professional development workshop. Held at SHER’s BaghBon, 36 eco-guides were trained in enhancing communication skill by English Language Fellow Madison Nunes and Aishwarya Mondal. The initiative helps local guides become confident communicators and climate advocates, enhancing both tourism and conservation outreach.
