BaghBon – SHER’s Multipurpose Community Resource Centre hosts the Sundarbans’ first digital classroom, a transformative initiative designed to serve forest-dependent and fringe communities. Equipped with internet access, computers, and audio-visual tools, the space offers a platform for digital learning, skill development, and vocational training. By bridging educational gaps and promoting digital literacy, the classroom empowers both youth and adults with the tools they need for self-reliance, better livelihood opportunities, and informed participation in sustainable development. It also functions as a hub for community workshops, online conferences, and knowledge exchange—bringing global access to one of India’s most remote and climate-vulnerable landscapes.
